Fire Phoenix: The Meaning of the Merkaba
Marten Thorand ·

Every Soul Geometry artwork comes with a handout that explains what each element in your picture means. This page is from the handout of the Fire Phoenix artwork.
Merkaba: what is it?
A Merkaba is a three-dimensional Star of David: two tetrahedra (three-sided pyramids) that lie one inside the other.
Merkaba: why does it stand for fire?
The tetrahedron is the symbol for the element fire and it is one of the Platonic solids. The Platonic solids are the five regular three-dimensional forms: tetrahedron, cube, octahedron, dodecahedron and icosahedron. Since antiquity, the tetrahedron has been linked to fire.
Merkaba in the Fire Phoenix: what does it mean?
The Merkaba in the centre of the picture represents the basic energy of the person it was drawn for: fire. For a Phoenix that is probably not very surprising.

Hexagrams: what do the two rings show?
The rings contain the Human Design chart. The inner ring consists of the I Ching hexagrams of the personality gates while the outer ring consists of the I Ching hexagrams of the design gates.
The conscious gates (personality) sit in the inner ring as they are closer to the core energy. The design gates are more obvious to the environment and therefore they are placed in the outer ring.

Rays: what are the phoenix rays?
Four rays reach from the outer ring to the points of the eight-pointed star – one in each direction.

Every element carries a meaning
Like the Merkaba here every form, line and colour in a Soul Geometry artwork has a meaning. Your artwork comes with a PDF that explains each of them.
